FLUID FLIES THE FLAG FOR FINLAND

January 15th, Finnish kart star Jesse Anttila became Fluid/Van Diemen's first driver to sign for the Dunlop MSA Formula Ford Championship of Great Britain for the 2010 season.

Young Jesse the 2008 Finnish KF3 kart champion, entered several races in the Formula Ford championship of Finland driving a Zetec powered Van Diemen in 2009, and was soon recognised as a naturally talented driver.

I had the pleasure of running Jesse in one of his home races at the Botniaring where with minimal set-up changes he showed vast improvement, after which he took part in several test days with Fluid over winter in the UK and impressed all with his commitment and determination.

The team are looking forward to Jesse's first official signed test later this month.

FORMULA FORD SAMPLER DAY

December 3rd, Formula Ford stars of last season and those hoping to follow in their wheeltracks in 2010 came together at Rockingham today for the Ford backed Championship "sampler day".

It was an opportunity for the teams to meet drivers planning on joining the Dunlop MSA Formula Ford Championship of Great Britain for the coming season, and for the young stars of tomorrow to try for size the Van Diemen chassis.

Two of the Fluid/Van Diemen hopefuls for the day were MSA "Kartmasters" British Grand Prix podium finisher Max Goff and Jake Cook the nephew of former British F3 and BTCC racer Paula Cook, Both drivers seemed to enjoy themselves and progressed well throughout the day.
